After School Program

Emelita Elementary School has three programs to meet all of your child’s before and after school needs.  Soaring Eagles is a paid program that services all children TK-5. They are open from 6:30 a.m. until school begins, and again from the end of the school day until 6:30 p.m.  Keep Youth Doing Something (KYDS) is a free program for children in grades 1-5.  It starts at the end of the day until 6:00.  Children in this program are expected to stay for the entire program.  Our last program is Youth Services (YS).  This program is also free of charge.  Students can stay and play on the yard while supervised by the YS staff.   They may come and go as you wish. This program is for grades 2-5. Click each tab for the necessary applications for each program.

Mission

Emelita provides its diverse learning community with opportunities to be empowered to build self-confidence, academic achievement, social emotional development, and the joy for learning. Students will be able to master the California Common Core State Standards through an integrated STEAM approach. Students will experience and utilize process and inquiry across the curriculums of science, technology, engineering, art and math and master problem solving skills to create a path of life-long learning for a global society.

Through collaboration, our school community promotes students’ individual differences by nurturing self-confidence and through respect for others while producing engaging, innovative 21st century learners.
